We are delighted to announce that the new Head of QCPS from January 2025 will be Ms Nisha Duggal.

Nisha (under her married name of Nisha Kaura) is currently Head of the Junior School at The Abbey, an all-girls independent school in Reading. She has worked at The Abbey since 2006, first as Assistant Head, then as Deputy Head (Academic), and subsequently as Head for the last four years. Under her leadership it has become one of the pre-eminent prep schools in the country, receiving TES nominations for Independent Prep School of the Year in both 2023 and 2024. She takes over from Laura Lamont, who leaves QCPS after four years of outstanding leadership to take up the headship of the preparatory school at Ardingly College.

Nisha was born and grew up in London, and both of her daughters, a medical student and a lawyer, are based here. She holds a Masters Distinction in Educational Leadership from the University of Buckingham, where she has also worked as a part-time Lecturer in Education. She is a Senior Team Inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate, a lead member of the IAPS EDI Committee and works in a consultancy role on EDI issues for the Independent Schools Council. Before moving into teaching, she had a successful career in clinical research and project management.

With a remarkable balance of warmth, insight and strategic vision, she is a professional of the highest possible calibre. We are certain that she is the ideal person to build on Laura’s remarkable achievements over the last four years, and to lead QCPS to even greater heights.
